How to Improve Self-Esteem

In our sessions we have a tool kit of techniques and strategies which can help you shed those old unhelpful feelings so that you can feel more positive about yourself. We teach our clients to:

Increase Positive Self Talk – When you have a pattern of thinking negatively it becomes an ingrained habit. Just like any habit with a little bit of practice things can changed.

Stop Perfectionism – A person with low self-esteem will tend to focus on everything they did wrong rather than by looking at the things they did right. We help you to realise that nobody is perfect.

Focus on Things You Can Change – Our clients negative thinking makes them think that they aren’t rich enough, clever enough, pretty enough and so on. We get you to be realistic and look at the things that you can change. Putting energy into things that you can’t alter is a waste of time.

Don’t Compare Yourself to Others – There is always someone who is better than you -fact! So there is no point worrying about everyone else. We assist you to concentrate on your strengths rather than your weaknesses.

Look After Yourself – So many of our clients with low self-esteem don’t believe they deserve things. They don’t deserve that job, boyfriend, pay rise or life style.
